Leadership Development

Turning leadership theory into everyday practice.

Good leadership development is much more than learning a new model or adding another tool to the toolkit.

It's about creating the opportunity to step out of the day-to-day, think differently, learn from others and explore what leadership looks like in practice.

I design and facilitate practical, interactive learning experiences that bring research, psychology and leadership frameworks into the reality of leading.

My role is to bring knowledge, structure and perspective while creating the space for participants to contribute their own experience, challenge one another's thinking and learn from the wisdom in the room.

What we might explore

Leadership development can span leading self, leading others and leading for impact.

Topics include:

  • Developing your leadership identity and brand

  • Building stronger relationships and collaboration

  • Delegation and developing others

  • Navigating effective feedback conversations

  • Leading through change

  • Influencing and negotiations

  • Building and maintaining high-performing teams

  • Emotional intelligenc

  • Effective communication

The topic is important, but context, relevance and application matter more. I adapt the emphasis, approach and activities to the people in the room and the leadership challenges they are actually facing.

Leadership Labs

A focused space to explore, experiment and learn from what happens next.

Leadership Labs are different from traditional workshops. Each Lab focuses on a specific leadership topic and creates the space for participants to draw on the wisdom in the room, challenge their thinking and create experiments they can run in their daily leadership practice.

They take it back to the real world. They observe what happens, reflect on what they learn and bring it back to the next Lab.

Content, exploration, experimentation and real-world learning.

Labs typically run for 90–120 minutes and work particularly well as a series, allowing trust, connection and learning to build over time.

Workshops

Workshops typically range from half-day to full and multi-day programs, depending on the topic, audience and desired outcome.

They can stand alone or form part of a broader leadership development program, incorporating Leadership Labs, coaching and other forms of learning transfer.
